Discover the Secrets of Effective Marketing

Filed under: University of Marketing @ 2:34 pm

The discipline of marketing can often be complex and confusing. As a marketing veteran, I have seen countless marketing professionals get hung up on various aspects of marketing which have little impact on actual marketing results.

Based on my experience, there are four critical elements to an effective marketing campaign. Whether you’re looking to improve your search engine marketing results, internet marketing, or marketing in general, be sure to follow these simple guidelines which I refer to as the A.T.O.M approach.

A.T.O.M - Audience, Timing, Offer, Message

1. Know Your Audience. No one can effectively market, communicate, or sell without knowing their audience or what motivates them to buy. Is your potential customer male or female? Young or old? A first time buyer or frequent purchaser? Are they the final decision maker? Do they have preferences for a particular product, service, or delivery method? The more you know about your audience, the more targeted and relevant your marketing can be.

2. Timing is Everything. Even with the most convincing marketing campaign, prospects will have no interest in your product or service if you aren’t communicating to them at the right time. Be sure your marketing message is in front of prospects when they’re ready to buy. This could be at a particular time of year or perhaps prior to a life event.

3. Finding the Right Offer. In direct marketing, experts say that results are 40% dependant on your list, 40% on the offer, and 20% on your creative. The same is true for internet marketing, search engine marketing, and the like. Test your offers and find the one that out performs all the others. This offer should continually be tested and refined to improve your results.

4. Its all about the Messaging. If you know your audience well enough, you should be able to craft a message that addresses their needs and differentiates your product or service from the competition. Additionally, be sure to stress benefits over features. This will give your audience a reason to read, try, and buy.

The next time you are conducting a marketing campaign, use the A.T.O.M. approach. Knowing your audience, ensuring that you reach them when they’re ready to buy, experimenting to find the most productive offer, and communicating to them productively, are essential for any marketing campaign to deliver results.

Eating Out in the U.S.A. !

Filed under: Uncategorized @ 11:14 am

One of life’s outstanding pleasures is going out to eat and trying new restaurants and dishes. This holds true for raw nutrient and vegan restaurants too! There are, believe it or not, more than 5000 natural foods restaurants in the U.S. alone. Predictably many of these restaurants are in major markets and in college towns.

You might not lively in an area where you can see a natural foods restaurant regularly, but if you’re traveling, do some research and see where there might be a natural foods put to see. Here are a few notable restaurants around the country:

Delights of the Garden has gained amazing popularity in Washington, DC, considering that city is an oasis of power lunches between lobbyists and the wish. It features a cool-looking coffeehouse with raw and cooked vegan favorites.

Vegan Sandals

Arnold’s Way is located extraneous Philadelphia, PA in the Bucks County townsfolk of Lansdale. They hold a raw caf and also hold classes in raw foods readying.

Au Lac in Fountain Valley, California serves 7-course raw dinners, although you need to call in progress to yield the chefs clip to fix.

Caf Gratitude has two locations in San Francisco and one in Berkeley.

Quntessence in Manhattan features an all raw card, all organic, salads, bracing juices, soup, guacamole, essene bread, almond shakes, and more.

Dining in the Raw in Key West, Florida features macrobiotic, vegan and raw foods.

The Organic Garden in Beverly, Massachusetts is a living and raw foods restaurant.

Suzanne’s Vegetarian Bistro in Miami, FL has a casual raw soup on its card.

Enzyme Express in Anchorage, Alaska is a raw foods restaurant.

Golden Temple in Birmingham, Alabama is a vegetarian restaurant that features a juice bar.

These are just a few raw foods restaurants in some potential (and unconvincing!) cities. Many cities hold magazines with restaurants listed by categories.

The Future of Digital Photography

With the onset of the 21st century, photos can be manipulated and altered in many ways using digital imaging and computer aided techniques. Digital photography started a significant change in photographic technology and changed the nature of photography significantly.

Nowadays, the number of photos you can take is much higher, so you can afford to make mistakes. Also, a photograph can often be remedied on the personal computer, even if it was spoiled by too much lighting. While that has made photography more beginner friendly, it is still far from an easy hobby.

Photography has been present for more than a hundred years and yet new innovations are taking place even this day. Looking at it, one has to surmise that photography will develop again in the future. It’s never too late to get into photography and even now it’s too early to stop learning more about it.

Cameras have certainly come a long way since the early camera obscura. Today the digital point and shoot cameras used by many fit easily in one hand and are fully automated. You even need none of the film rolls present in cameras from a couple of decades past, but can store hundreds of high quality photographs on a memory card less than a square inch in size.

If this is the state of photography today, what may the future hold for us? Technologies such as high dynamic range (HDR) imaging and specular reflection have already been developed. They will probably enter the consumer market within the next few years. More long term plans on photographic technology include various forms of 3D modeling.

Regardless of which one of these technologies you will have in your digital camera a few years from now, one thing is certain: your camera will still not take the pictures without your guidance. Choosing the target, the angle of view and cropping the photograph will still be left for you to take care of and excel in.

If you are into photography, you probably want to get better at it. That requires practice - a lot of it. However, it is often helpful to be taught about the theory, too. That’s why online photography courses have become a popular method both for new photographers to get used to the art and for more experienced photographers to hone their skills.
